The winter season is approaching and many are already organizing holidays in the snow with the whole family. The charm of the white mantle and the mountain air are certainly the main reasons why you should choose to spend a few days or a week at high altitudes.
Often, however, finding convenient offers and at the same time a comfortable environment is a business of superheroes. For this reason it is good to take advantage of some facilities that offer packages all included for the whole family: stay, equipment, ski school and skipass.
And your children?
They are basically free of charge.
We are talking about some of the most beautiful areas of the Alps, in Italy and in Europe. After talking about how good the mountain is for your children, here is a small list to be inspired by the planning of a holiday in the snow.
Skiing with children in Trentino Alto Adige
That Trentino Alto Adige is a family friendly destination, as well as my favorite destination, is certainly not new. For many years this region, which offers enchanting views and guaranteed fun for young and old, is accompanied by excellent offers.
In Val di Sole, for example, children up to 8 years do not pay the skipass. Same if you dream of skiing at the foot of the Pale di San Martino, in the Dolomites. Moreover, staying from 20 January to 4 February and from 10 to 18 March in Val di Sole in addition to the ski pass, your stay includes the ski or snowbord course for children and adults.
The Val di Fiemme also offers the Magic Ski Weeks where for children up to 12 years everything is completely free: stay, skipass, ski school, equipment and activities in the Miniclub.
A paradise for families is also the Parco del Baldo, where children are at the center of activities and camps, workshops and events. Designed for parents with their small vacation packages for a low-cost white week in hotels and partner residences.
Skiing with children in Carinthia, Austria
The advantage of Carinthia is certainly the sun even in winter and the many services also offered to the most demanding families. Skiing with children in Carinthia is simple and fun. In fact, children can enjoy countless offers in which they do not pay the ski pass and according to the reservation period can take advantage of discounts and packages.
In Bad Kleinkirchheim, which with its 100 km of slopes is the second ski area of Carinthia, children up to 12 years of age ski at the symbolic price of € 1 per day, including ski or table hire.
Switzerland … is it really low-cost?
Often Switzerland with its famous ski resorts seems an unattainable paradise especially with a large family. But here as well there are various savings formulas.
In Leukerbad, an absolutely family-friendly spa resort, children can ski for free up to 8 years of age and enjoy free entry to the spa.
Even the Aletsch Arena is a family-friendly ski resort: on the slopes there is a children’s playground and assistance service and ski schools with activities starting from 3 years. It is also possible to get free skipass for all family members under 16 years.
Finally, in Engadine, not far from the Italian border, you can take advantage of the “Hotel and skipass included” offer with a minimum of two nights accommodation. Starting from this year there is also the Snow Deal, an offer through which you can receive the skipass at super discounted prices by booking in advance.
Tell the truth: do you already feel like packing up?
